Recording: Day 2
Day 2....wow! Long day today. I’m a little tired...but I wanted to write to you guys before I called it a day.
Today we did some acoustic guitar tracks. That was really cool. I bought a new acoustic guitar earlier this year, and this was the first time that I had ever recorded with it. I think it really sounded amazing! We stopped about half way through because my good friend Jared Milos stopped by to do some bass tracks. That’s him in the picture above. Jared is amazingly talented, and such a great friend. I owe you Jared! Seriously! Thanks for adding your talent to this project.
After we finished that, we were about done....”weary” you might say. Actually, I had written a song for easter this year that I played at one of our easter services. I played it totally acoustic, no accompaniment at all. Well...if you remember that, you’re going to be surprised when you hear how its coming out on the new record. We’ve put a completely different spin on it. You’ll have to wait and see....uh....hear! :-)
Sharon and the kids came by the studio for a little bit today as well. It was cool for them to see what we were doing. Sharon got some really cute pictures of the kids too....I’ll post some of them later this week.
Cool...well, I’m beat. I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow. Thanks for all the great comments and support. It means a lot to Sharon and I. Take care.
J
