Red Rock - Mountain View

what a fun night! i played at red rock coffee on friday night and had a blast. i was opening up the night for my band 'east of western' with some new songs that i've written in the last few months. my new stuff is a little more broad in the message. a little more life stories kind of stuff....songs about love and loss and fun and hurt....things that most people can relate to. anyhow....i wanted to thank all of my friends that came out. it really meant a lot to me to see you out there. things seemed to go really good. i was super nervous playing this batch of songs for the first time....but i got through it. i think i did alright....you've got to start somewhere....you know what i mean? :-) the 'east of western' set was rockin'. it's amazing how good we actually do with little to no rehearsal. kind of scary actually.....to think what we could do if we actually applied ourselves. but the best part of the night by far was getting to see old friends. hanging out....catching up.....playing music....it doesn't get much better then that in my little world. so, anyhow...enough jabbering....here are some photo's of the night courtesy of the lovely sharon sossaman. take care....see you soon!

You mean having to turn around and come back to South San Francisco to pick up 5 people with a tire problem at 1:00 am was not your favorite part? So hurt!

Ha ha!! What a fun night! The coffee was good! The entertainment and the fellowship was amazing!

Even with only 4 hours of sleep!!

Thank you for the invite!

Great night - great job J! To heck with tires. What really matters is friendship, and sharing and doing life together. You rocked Amigo!

Really fun night. It's ashame I'll never see Mountain View again. But, let me say again how proud we are of you. I'm super glad to know you Mr. Sossaman. Don't forget us little people when you're making millions.

GOOD TIMES!!! The coffee was almost as good as the music... I look forward to more of the "Saucemans" music in the future! I don't even know what tire problem Nicky is talking about??? She hasn't been getting enough sleep...
Chelle, are you saying you wouldn't go back to the Red Rock? Seriously?

Sounds like so much fun! Especially the indian leg wrestling on the ground at the shell station. I totally would have competed! Oh, and it's so cool to know a famous person! I would have been the one in the very front, holding up the lighter or the cell phone, whatever. I know, I know. You're sorry I had to miss it. Me too.

hey all....thanks for all the kind remarks. i really appreciate it.

one thing....to be fair....sharon did take the pictures....but i hijacked them before she had a chance to edit them, at all. i wanted to get my blog published and she was knee deep in proofing/editing for people that actually pay....so....sorry babe. but then again, it's a testament to how well your images look right out of the camera. :-) i'm just saying...
