but if you try sometime...you might get what you need....shouldn't that be enough? what am i saying today...other then professing my love of the rolling stones?
we all miss the expectations of others at times. we've all been on both sides of the coin....the let down...and the "letter down". yes, i made that up. :-)
i bet if you took a pole on the street of 500 strangers that 100% of them would agree that no one can meet everyone's expectations all the time. yet, each one of us have gotten our feathers ruffled from a friend who failed to return a phone call or a short e-mail response about something that we felt warranted a deeper answer.
so my question is...if we know and understand our propensity for missing the bull's eye with our friend's needs...why does it hurt so much when they miss ours?
fact is that we all have a desire to be known...understood on some level. and when we feel rejection from a perceived lack of desire to be known by someone we're close to...well...it hurts. we all get it....we just can't get around it.
less of me...
