the best thing you watched...

one of my favorite things about holiday weekends is that the tv networks put a bunch of great movies on because they know people will be home watching tv. I LOVE THAT! flipping through the channels and seeing 'remember the titans' or 'meet the parents' or 'rocky 2' or 'the godfather'....you know what i'm saying....right?

the best movie i watched on network tv this weekend was 'LOTR, fellowship of the ring'. i own the extended versions of all the LOTR movies....but i get a sense of divinity when i randomly find them on the tv while i'm flipping through.

what's your favorite from the turkey holiday weekend?

The best thing I watched this weekend? Promise you won't laugh?

After our guests left on Thanksgiving day we flipped on the t.v. and found Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Special! It actually told the true story of the Pilgrims, including "They trusted in God" at 2 or 3 different times during the show.

I also watched White Christmas for the first time ever, seemed fitting since it was snowing ALL weekend long!

J!!! I have been thinking about you!!!! I watched LOTR too!!!! When I read your post I could hardly wait to write a comment!!! Can you sense my excitement???

Okay, so let me tell you... Last night Bart was totally passed out asleep next to me in bed. What was I doing? I got so sucked into LOTR Return of the King, that I almost woke him up like 5 times!!! Seriously! I kept making noises out loud!!! I was SO sucked in!!!

The part where Sam & Frodo are making that last, exhausting climb up the mountain of Mordor, & Frodo just goes limp. Well Sam says," I can't carry the ring for you Mr. Frodo but I CAN carry you!" Then he lifts him up over his shoulder to carry him up the mountain... MAN! I was so pulled in!!! I was crying at the end!!!
I better stop this comment. I could go on & on...
I will leave with this; It is time. Time for the EXTENDED VERSION! I HAVE TO WATCH IT!!!

P.S. Even the spider part. I knew it was coming & I still "gasped" out loud! Poor Bart...

Oh wait I did watch and dance to most of Mary poppins.

I didnt have much TV time and the little time I did have went to catching up with my very best friend Mr. DVR
